Junior Church

The Junior Church - Lesson on the Beach

Our Sunday School currently consists of a lively group of children whose ages range from 2 to 11 years.

The children spend a short time in the family service where they often perform an appropriate song for the congregation, taught to them by Pam Nunn, before going into a room adjoining the Church for Sunday School. Here we enjoy Bible stories and craft based activities relating to the specific story. As well as making craft items to take home with them, the Church walls are adorned with collages made the children.

In the summer we make the most of our wonderful location and sometimes hold Sunday School at the beach.

Here (see photo above) the children had listened to the story of Jonah and the Whale and went on to make a huge sandcastle of the whale. We ended the morning with prayers before all enjoying a well earned ice cream.

Nativity Scene Christmas 2005

Sunday School is run by me, Diane Carter, and parent helpers for 10 months of the year, taking a summer break in July and August. Please have a word with me if you would like to help. Numbers of children vary throughout the year as we welcome both regular members and holiday makers.

During the Christmas period we have a Christingle Service on Sunday 17th. We welcome all families to the service, who we hope to see at Junior Church in the New Year.

In a bid to sound less formal, the New Year will see our Sunday School renamed to “Junior Church”. New members of all ages are welcome to join us to find that worship can be fun!
